Top TV spots for Orwells chef

Ryan Simpson of Orwells, appeared on national TV not just once but twice during June, with slots on BBC2’s Great British Menu and Yes Chef within days of each other.
This year’s series of Great British Menu is Wimbledon-themed, to mark 140 years of the tennis tournament, with 24 of the nation’s top chefs competing to serve a summer banquet in the shadow of Centre Court. Ryan was was given 8 marks for his ‘Summer Fruit and Veg’ starter, placing him second in his heat. Two days later, he was back on Yes Chef, teaming up with a home cook to compete against fellow professionals, with judging by legendary chef Pierre Koffmann.
Ryan and partner Liam Trotman have taken Orwells to new heights recently. The restaurant now has 4 AA Rosettes and the title of Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year 2017 under its belt, as well as glowing recent reviews in the Telegraph and Daily Mail.
