The Brakspear Annual Awards 2025!

What a day!  On 9th September, we gathered on the banks of The Thames in Henley-on-Thames to celebrate the 13th Brakspear Hospitality Awards, our annual celebration of the pubs and people who go above and beyond.

These awards shine a light on those who’ve stood out over the past year, whether through exceptional food and drink, creative ideas, or making a real difference in their communities. The judging takes everything into account, from developing successful businesses, guest feedback to mystery visits, TripAdvisor reviews, plus the insight of independent judges.

This year’s winners were:

Green Fingers – The Blackwood Arms in Burnham

Best Cellar – The Dog & Duck in Wokingham

Best Sunday Roast – The Lamb Inn in Great Rissington

Best Newcomer – The Dew Drop Inn in Hurley

Heart of the Community – The Star & Eagle in Goudhurst
