The team at the Red Lion at Cholsey hosted a successful wine and tapas night in partnership with our wine supplier Marston’s Cockburn & Campbell. The company’s wine development manager Ali Penn took pub customers through 14 wines with an informal, fun and interactive New World v Old World tasting and quiz. Customers also voted for their preferred wine, with a Carmenere Limited Reserve emerging as the hands down winner.

Customers paid £15 per ticket which included wine samples and tapas such as cold meat platters, ham hock terrine and pulled pork croquettes.

The Red Lion’s co-licensee Alex Venner said: “The event was very worthwhile and a good collaboration with Cockburn & Campbell who ran the tasting and quiz for us and were great to work with.”
