The New Inn ran a series of Tractor Runs over the summer, taking customers round the beautiful local countryside. The rides took place on Thursday evenings and attracted up to 80 people, so the tractor was kept busy, taking groups of up to 20 at a time. Back at the pub, customers enjoyed drinks and often a barbecue and entertainment. The Tractor Run was also part of the New Inn’s Wild West Day in July, which also included live music, Hog Roast and bouncy castle and face painting for the children. It raised £650 for local charities.
Landlady Dora Symborska said, “The Tractor Runs were really popular, huge thanks to our drivers John Lamborne and Paul Jenkins for making them so enjoyable. They’ll continue to run as long as the weather allows.”
