Ramblers at Red Lion

The Red Lion in Peppard Common hosted a special lunch for Reading Blind Rambling Group, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in June. More than 20 walkers and their helpers started out from the Red Lion on a five-mile circular walk. They finished back at the pub for a lunch provided by tenants Hannah & Phil Collings.

The group helps blind and partially sighted people in the Reading and wider area to enjoy walking locally. Phil & Hannah have supported them on several occasions, which was mentioned by the group’s leader Alan Futter during an interview on BBC Radio Berkshire.
