Our Pubs

As we’re sure you know, pubs in England have been forced to close by the Government.

Some of our pubs are offering a takeaway service so please check their website and social media pages for more info. A large majority of our pubs are opening their outside space on the 12th April 2021, but please do check the pub websites and social media pages for the exact info.

Things are subject to change and as pubs find their way in these uncertain times, we ask for your patience and to check each pub’s social media accounts for the latest news.

The Chequers is a beautiful 16th century family run pub, located in the heart of the village of Watlington, next to the Chiltern Hills which has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. They have a traditional bar in two sections, a conservatory and large garden. They serve quality home cooked bar meals and puddings at lunchtimes 7 days a week and in the evenings from Tuesday to Saturday. Situated close to the central High Street, you will find a number of individual specialist shops that are well worth a visit. The village is a short drive away from junction 6 on the M40 Motorway and within easy reach of Henley, Wallingford and Stokenchurch. The ancient Icknield way that forms a part of the Ridgeway National Trail passes through the south east of Watlington.
