Locals have given a big thumbs up to The Green Man in Hurst, which reopened in October with new business owner Adel Khalef at the helm.
Adel and his team gave the pub a refurb before opening the doors with a packed-out launch party for locals. They have focused on welcoming customers for a warming pint and a bite to eat in the 17th century pub.
“Amazing Sunday Roast! Cooked freshly to perfection. The service was excellent and you don’t feel rushed, like some pubs I have been to. The atmosphere was lovely, everyone really friendly.”
The food, created by chef Hassen, is based on freshly prepared British dishes, with French and Mediterranean flair. Their Sunday lunch has been winning over diners, as one posted on Facebook: “Amazing Sunday Roast! Cooked freshly to perfection. The service was excellent and you don’t feel rushed, like some pubs I have been to. The atmosphere was lovely, everyone really friendly.”
Adel was previously running a pub in Reading and moved to be closer to Maidenhead, bringing some of his team with him.
