You don’t have to register if you just want a chat or have a quick query.
If you have a clearer idea of what type of pub you are looking for it’s useful for Amanda to have your contact details, the registration form is on the tab to the left (it’s not long or complicated!)
You can meet Amanda at whatever stage in the process you are, there are no filters etc.
In broad terms the application is flexible but tends to follow in three main steps:
1. First Interview with Amanda, the Recruitment Manager. It is a general discussion about Brakspear, our agreements, each parties’ responsibilities with regard to the buildings, staff etc. We look at the pubs available and discuss your background and experience. If you have found the pub you want your next step will be to complete a business plan, profit & loss, cash flow forecast and menus. You will be given some templates to help get you started.
2. Second interview is with Business Development Manager (BDM) for the pub you are looking at. He will go through your business plan with you in detail.
3. Final interview, this meeting is with Tom Davies, our CEO, and the Business Development Manager for your pub. Ultimately it’s Tom’s decision who he appoints, it’s important that you have met him and discussed any remaining queries you may have.
This three stage process can take a few months to complete, Amanda is your main contact and will guide you through the process.
If you are keen to get started the first thing to do is Bii (British Institute of Innkeeping) PEAT test (Pre Entry Awareness Test) which all new applicants will have to complete. The cost is £90 plus Vat which we refund you if you become one our tenants. The link is below.
