Help to market Henley pubs

If your dream job involves helping to promote Henley’s finest pubs and beers, then you could be the next marketing assistant for Brakspear.

The role for the brewer and pub operator,  involves all aspects of marketing, from producing menus, banners and other materials for Brakspear pubs, helping pub landlords to implement promotions, promoting the Bell Street Brewery, managing production of the Brakspear pub magazine and assisting with events for individual pubs.

Marketing manager Emma Sweet said, “Every day is different for the Brakspear marketing team, so the marketing assistant would need to be someone who likes variety and can adapt when we’re asked to help a pub to launch a new menu, or to introduce a new beer from the Bell Street Brewery, for example.  There’s a lot of contact with pub landlords, as well as others outside the company, including our food and drink suppliers, designers and printers.

“We’re a small department, so it’s a great opportunity for the right person to learn and improve their marketing skills in a fast-moving and fun environment.”

The job is based at Brakspear’s head office but involves local travel to meet with Brakspear landlords.  Candidates must have excellent communication and IT skills, and ideally have a degree in Marketing or Business Studies.

Interested candidates should send a CV and covering letter explaining why they think why they are right for this role, to gill@brakspear.co.uk.  Applications close on Monday, 13 March.

Brakspear operates more than 130 pubs across the south east. The company is shortlisted for two awards in the prestigious Publican Awards 2017, which will be announced in March.
