Golden Ball raises £3,375 in brother’s memory

The team at The Golden Ball in Maidenhead raised £2,700 in memory of Chase, the brother of business owners Chelsey and Clark, who sadly died from oesophageal cancer in 2023 at the age of 38. With an additional donation from Brakspear’s Giving Back, the team were able to donate £3,375 to Cancer Research.
The pub hosted a huge Fundraising Day on 8th March this year – which would have been Chase’s 40th birthday. According to the pub’s post about the event, Chase was the life and soul of the party, so a party was the right way to remember him! The day included i DJ sets, bouncy castle, raffle, food and drink.
Two of Chase’s friends, Billy and Michael, ran the London Marathon a month later. In addition, Brakspear created a bespoke lens for a draught ‘Chase’s Pilsner’, featuring Chase’s signature, with 5p from every pint sold going towards the charity total.
Chelsey said:
“Chase’s death was such a massive loss to everyone: he was the most amazing person including his friends, family, his nephews. Everyone wants to do something to keep his memory alive because we can’t forget him.”
