Funny raises money
May 3, 2017
The Potters Arms hosted its second annual Comedy Festival over the late April Bank Holiday weekend. Once again, licensee Richard Edwards pulled in a stellar line up of comedians who performed at the Comedy With-in Tent marquee in the pub garden.
Performances ran from Friday evening through to Sunday evening, including a Saturday daytime family show ‘The Noise Next Door’. The renowned Comedy Store closed the festival on Sunday evening with a special topical ‘Cutting Edge’ set, which was watched and praised by the Comedy Store owner in the audience.
Fundraising from the event was given a boost this year thanks to involvement from Santander, who matched all funds raised, meaning that the £695 raised for Marie Curie was doubled to £1,590.
