Food and more at The Lamb

Husband and wife team Elliot Cree & Kathleen Cree-Vincent are the first business owners at this 17th century pub in Great Rissington in the Cotswolds, acquired by Brakspear last year.

Elliot & Kathleen at The Lamb
Both are skilled chefs who have worked in Michelin Star restaurants around the world, with Elliot holding the head chef role at acclaimed London eatery Kitchen Table. They moved to the Cotswolds after getting married in 2023, to be closer to family, and were initially looking to open a fine dining restaurant in the area when they ‘stumbled across’ The Lamb.
Several months and a serious refurbishment later, the couple are serving their delicious food to a growing band of enthusiastic customers. Described as ‘locally sourced, globally inspired’, the menu combines the finest local ingredients with their international culinary expertise. The result is hearty, home-cooked dishes rooted in Cotswold traditions, enhanced with global flavours that add a fresh twist.
It’s not all about the food however. Elliot says:
“In the future we are hoping to organise pub quizzes and cinema nights. We will always be a local pub for locals versus a pub for tourists but visitors to the Cotswolds will stay in our rooms as we’re close to so many attractions. “
