Dead Dog beer is top-seller

Move over BrewDog’s Dead Pony Club!  A beer remembering Tiger, tenant Daniel’s dear departed long-haired Chihuahua, is outselling other ales at the Joker in Brighton.

Daniel said, “Garry, our BDM, thought we should have a ‘house ale’ and I wanted to give it a name that would make it personal to the Joker. Tiger was my best friend for 13 years and customers got to know and love him as he was always in the pub with me.”

Dead Dog is a 3.8% ABV ale, with a pumpclip showing Tiger, designed by a local artist. Since going on the bar, it has sold close to 500 pints, overtaking both Oxford Gold and Hobgoblin. Daniel added, “The success of Dead Dog is a fitting legacy for Tiger, who was very much a ‘pub pooch’!”
