The village green outside The Six Bells in Warborough becomes a car park with a difference on the second Tuesday of every month during the summer, when more than 200 cars arrive. This thriving classic car meet has been running for some years, and is growing in popularity as owners enjoy the chance to show off their pride and joy.

Business owners Henry Clayton and Eve Griffin have welcomed the car owners, making sure that they receive great food, drink and service.  Earlier this year, they unveiled a new cask ale on the bar, ‘Rev It Up’, a 3.9% ‘Classic Car Ale’, created for them by Brakspear in recognition of the car meet.

Needless to say, the ale received the chequered flag, with car enthusiasts enjoying a pint as part of the meet experience!

Henry said:

“The car meet is good for business and we love having them here; 200 vehicles of all shapes and sizes parked on the green is a real sight to behold!  Rev It Up is a great summer beer and the motorists really like the fact that we’ve recognised them, it’s gone down very well with them and other customers.”

Henry & Eve took on The Six Bells last summer and have created a thriving pub business at this quinetessential village pub, with a raft of activities for the local community.
