The Bull in Wargrave was recently given a glowing review in its local magazine, the Wargrave News. The review, attached, looks at the pub’s historic roots – dating back to the 15th century, it is the village’s oldest hostelry – and its more recent history under current landlady Jayne Worrall. Jayne has been the Bull’s licensee three times, her first tenure starting in 1980 and her third in 2013. This, final, time, Jayne has refurbished the pub’s bar, dining area and bedrooms and restored its reputation as a “good, old-fashioned, characterful village pub”, serving honest, home-made food. ‘Jayne’s Famous Sunday Lunch’ is popular for miles around, with double sittings for 70 diners fully booked.
