Beer lovers in Brighton and Hove are in for a treat as the Brakspear Ale Trail arrives in the city, giving them the chance to claim a free pint of fine Brakspear ale and an exclusive Brighton Ale Trail T-shirt.

The Ale Trail takes drinkers round the five Brakspear pubs in Brighton. Simply visit each pub, enjoy two pints of Brakspear Bitter or Oxford Gold, and collect a stamp on your Ale Trail map. Head to the Joker on Preston Road as your final stop, enjoy two pints and, with your map fully-stamped, claim a free pint of Brakspear ale and a T-shirt.

Brighton Ale Trail maps can be collected from any of Brakspear’s pubs in the city: Chequers, Preston Street; Connaught, Hove Street; Robin Hood, Norfolk Place; Stoneham, Portland Road and the Joker. More details on the Ale Trail can be found atwww.brightonaletrail.co.uk

Daniel Wright, licensee at the Joker, said, “This is a great way to encourage Brighton residents and visitors to discover Brakspear’s great pubs and beers in the city.  We’re expecting to see plenty of Ale Trail maps presented at the bar and we’ve got a good stock of the smart T-shirts to hand over to drinkers once they’ve completed the trail.”

The Ale Trail runs indefinitely, so drinkers can visit Brakspear pubs and collect stamps at their own pace.  Everyone who completes the trail and registers their details will be invited to the Brakspear Ale Trail party, held in January and offering free pints of Brakspear, food and the chance to meet fellow ‘trailers’. What better way to banish the winter blues!

The original Brakspear Ale Trail, which has been running for several years in Brakspear’s home town of Henley-on-Thames, has become hugely popular, with 650 drinkers completing the trail during 2014. Three Country Ale Trails covering pubs in and around Henley have now been added.
