Brakspear Oxford Gold scoops top drinks award

Brakspear Oxford Gold has been named Best Ale in the Quality Drink Awards 2013 -the only ale to win a top prize in the competition, which judges hundreds of drinks across 21 categories.

The Quality Drinks Awards are now in their 34th year and are respected as a rigorous test of product taste and quality.  A team of 100 independent expert judges assess the drinks entered to the competition for taste, flavour, texture, aroma, ingredients list, innovation, packaging, presentation and price.

Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said, “We’ve always been very proud of Oxford Gold and it has established a loyal following among many of our pub customers.  It’s good to receive this expert endorsement of its quality, which should give drinkers even greater confidence in Oxford Gold as a quality ale.”
