‘Beer deal’ offered to Ed Sheeran as musician opens pub

Brakspear is offering musical mega star Ed Sheeran a ‘deal’ on a firkin or two of its flagship Brakspear Gravity ale for his new pub in west London.
The Morning Advertiser reported that Sheeran has opened a pub on the Portobello Road, just a few months after he visited Henley-on-Thames and completed Brakspear’s Ale Trail.
Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said: “We were interested to see that Ed Sheeran has opened his own pub, not long after enjoying a trip round our pubs in Henley and participating in our popular Ale Trail.
“We know he enjoyed a pint or two of Brakspear Gravity, so if he’d like to offer this fine beer in his new pub, we’re happy to offer him a good deal on a firkin or two.
“Equally, we’d be delighted to Ed some tips on running a successful pub; I’m sure he’s not short of advisers, but Brakspear has been in the pub business for over 200 years.”
