Barbecue and band for Marie Curie
The Coachmakers Arms in Wallingford staged a barbecue with live music at the end of June, raising an impressive £325 for Marie Curie. Licensee Josh Haynes generously ‘topped up’ the amount to £500 for the charity.
While a DJ and live band entertained customers, the pub team raised money through a raffle, collecting buckets, £1 donations from every burger and cocktail sold and a ‘guess the length’ of a curled up sausage competition.
Josh took on the pub with parents David and Hayley in March this year.
