New business owners Tona Erreguin, wife Aya Fibert and business partner Toby Boyes reopened The Cherry Tree Inn in Stoke Row this summer. Tona is the founder of award-winning Imma the Baker in the same village, and her knowledge of the local market is proving invaluable.
The trio gave the pub a refurbishment before reopening, with the help of friends from the community. Since then, they have been winning over customers with a menu of ‘British classics with no fuss’, prepared by talented chef Amber Jones.
Tona, who is originally from Argentina, started her hospitality career in Mexico and has worked for 15 years in fine dining, including Michelin starred restaurants. She was named Baker of the Year in the Baking Industry Awards in October 2025 and her sourdough bread was named Britain’s Best Loaf in 2024.
