Accolades pour in for Brakspear pubs

It’s always good news when Brakspear pubs win awards and accolades and over recent months no fewer than seven of our talented business owners and their teams have been singled out.  

Well done to all the pubs who have received well-deserved praise!

The Prince of Wales in Brixton was named in Time Out’s 50 Best London Pubs, praised for “doing the simple things well” and hosting regular community events.

The Three Tuns in Henley-on-Thames,  which business owners Nigel Sutcliffe & Barry Wagner have run since June, has won a place in the Michelin Guide, which cited the pub’s “relaxed vibe and unfussy food”.

Orwells has become the only restaurant in south Oxfordshire to hold 4 AA rosettes. This is the ninth year that business owners Ryan & Liam Simpson-Trotman have received an accolade from the AA.

The Leicester Arms achieved a listing in The Good Food Guide’s inaugural 100 Best Pubs, published in October, and was included in The Guardian’s 30 Best UK pubs for an autumn escape with great food. Congratulations to business owner Manu Bhatt, Richie Brown and the pub team.

The Leathern Bottle was placed at No.8 on a list of the Cosiest Pubs in Oxfordshire, which scored pubs for their snug, warm atmosphere, log burners and roaring fires. Well done to business owners Les & Julie Gordon.

The Lamb and The Five Alls triumphed in the Cotswolds Awards, winning Best Sunday Lunch and Best Pub with Accommodation respectively. Congratulations to business owners Elliot & Kath Cree and Tom Downing.
